During the 40 days leading up to Easter (beginning Ash Wednesday), Calvary offers worship services that are regarded by many as the highlight of Calvary’s church year. Wednesdays during Lent, a worship service at 6:30 pm will feature a message by Calvary members, the liturgy of Holden Evening Prayer, and communion served by Calvary’s youth.
During the week leading up to Easter (Holy Week), Calvary offers worship on Maundy Thursday and two different services for Good Friday: an interactive service for all ages mid-afternoon and a traditional Tenebrae service Friday evening.
For every evening of Lenten worship at Calvary, high school students serve dinner from 5-6:30 pm as a fundraiser for Calvary’s youth in the Fellowship Hall. At Calvary, Lent is the season of focus on Christ’s cross, and a snapshot of Calvary’s community together at its best.
Unfinished - Theme for 2023 Lent
This year for lent Calvary has two opportunities to hear about what it means to be unfinished. Wednesday evenings we will dig into "Discovering God's Call in the Not Yet" as we hear from Calvary members and their experiences in listening to God's call.
On Sunday's we will hear what it means to be unfinished as we take a "dive" into the story of Jonah.

In this season of Lent, join us as we read Rachel Held Evan’s final book, “Wholehearted Faith”. An unfinished work that wrestles with God’s grace and love in an imperfect world as it explores universal human questions about becoming and belonging.
Wednesday evenings at 7:45 in Holy Grounds, come as you are!
Pastor Kirk will be leading an "Adult Confirmation" class beginning on Saturday, March 4 from 10:00 - 11:30 am. The duration of this conversation will depend on the needs of the group. So if you've thought about what's so vital about a Lutheran voice in the choir alongside other denominations or religions, or if you have found the Bible to be a bit daunting, or if want more of a vision of how to live out your baptism on behalf of creation, this is your opportunity! Bring your questions and your Bibles.
If you can't make it, no worries! Pastor Kirk will use zoom for those who are far away or for other reasons. Please reach out to him for the zoom link.
