We don't just believe children are the future church, they are the church right now! Children have many ways to be connected at Calvary. Whether they are worshiping with their families, participating in the education program, or enjoying the different opportunities, you can find kids of all ages growing in their faith at Calvary.
Easter is coming and this year we are hoping to include the young people in a virtual choir. The song is called Sing for Joy and we are so excited to sing it together (from a distance!) It is a call and response song and you can find it below. Danny, the cool guy with the guitar will start and your singer will sing right along with Anna.
The Savior came to save us
He came to give us life
The Savior came to free us
He left His throne on high
He said, "Believe in Me"
He said, "Receive Me,
For I am the Way, Truth and Life"
Sing for joy
Sing for joy, He lives
Sing for joy
Practice with your young person and when you’re ready to record, turn your camera horizontal. This kind of song will work best if the singer can listen to the song in their ear while you record their voice. If you practice it many times and feel comfortable with the timing, grown ups can also record their kids in a call and response way without the videos help.
Questions? Feel free to reach out! Videos can be sent to Nichole.firstname.lastname@example.org by TUESDAY, MARCH 30.
During this time of COVID 19 worries, I hope you are able to take time to stay healthy and take care of yourselves and your families. I wanted to quick send you an update on where we are standing as of now with Sunday and Wednesday school at Calvary. We talked at length with our whole staff and feel that in light of the CDC guidelines of no large gatherings for the foreseeable future, that we are done with Sunday and Wednesday School for the year. This is a very hard decision, and not one that we take lightly. We keep everyone's safety and health in the forefront of our hearts and feel that it's the best decision for now. We are committed to walking beside you (six feet apart of course) as you bring faith to your children in the time of uncertainty!
Families will need to fill out a one-time registration form where they will enter ALL members of their family.
Look for classes, check your schedule, see what classes you've completed, and MORE.
Sunday and Wednesday school classes are available for children ages three years through 5th grade. Classes meet Sundays at 9:15 and 10:45 am and Wednesdays at 6:15 pm. (September through May).
Vacation Bible School is getting a new look this year thanks to COVID-19. Instead of traditional Vacation Bible School we invite you to sign up for STAY-cation Bible School!
Bible Camp is a wonderful opportunity for young people to deepen their faith and enjoy time outdoors in God’s creation. Registration for camp will likely look a lot different this year due to the current pandemic. We will work to keep you updated as information comes out.
Calvary takes seriously the call to community. There are many child and family events all year long including the Fall Festival, pumpkin patch trip, Advent Festival, Family Dance and more. New events are added all the time. Watch the events page and the calendar for the most up to date information.
