We think connecting with your church family is so important. There are many ways to get connected in many groups - that's what helps Calvary feel like a "small" big church. Check out a few adult ministries below.
We come together for study, support and action. We participate in the ministry of Women of the ELCA. Participation gives us an opportunity to gather for fellowship and to learn and share; opportunities to join with other women for Bible study, reflection and prayer that offers us the quiet moments to give ourselves over to God, to place ourselves in God’s hands; opportunities to serve, explore and to share the gifts God has given us. We meet the first Tuesday of the month at 11:15 am.
Reading Religiously is a book club that meets once a month to discuss a book that is picked out by the group. They are open to reading different titles and genres. The group will meet at the Blue Moose in East Grand Forks on a Thursday. If you are interested in joining please reach out to Julie Pedersen at julie.pedersen@calvarygf.org or through the front office at
701-772-4897.
Another book club offered here is one for all ages. This book club meets once a month on a Sunday and will discuss a book almost all ages can comprehend. Most of the time, the book is a graphic novel. Along with discussion there is an activity that everyone gets to work on together. If you are interested in being involved in this book club reach out to Nichole Bye at nichole.bye@calvarygf.org or Julie Pedersen at Julie.pedersen@calvarygf.org.

Holy Grounds is Calvary’s coffee house. It is a place of welcome, warmth, fellowship and conversation.
Do you like to cook? Have a favorite dish to make? Like to try new recipes? If you answered yes to any of these questions, please consider signing up to be on the hospitality meal team which provides meals for new moms, those in cancer treatment, grief or could just use a hand.
Sharing a meal after a funeral gives people a chance to remember their loved ones together. Meals are set up and served in the Fellowship Hall after funerals. People also prepare bars and other desserts to be served. Contact the church office (701-772-4897) to volunteer, serve, or to bring food for this important ministry.
Special events such as retreats, studies and other opportunities are added to the calendar all the time. Take a look at our events page to all that goes on at Calvary!
